Hello Beer Friends Nation! On the recent Beer Friends Colorado Brewery Trip we traveled all over the great state of Colorado in search of the best breweries. Growing up in Colorado, I though I had a pretty good list of breweries to visit and sample. Unfortunately, the Estes Park Brewery totally escaped my mind and shame on me. The Estes Park Brewery is a hidden gem amongst the vast beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park. Walk in downstairs and be sure to belly up and try a sample of each of their beers.
Estes Park Gold - One of their more popular beers and I can see why. This is a good solid American Blonde - nothing amazing but very drinkable and a good go-to beer.
Estes Park Porter - Very similar to the Gold - a solid beer but nothing special.
Estes Park Redrum Ale - This was Brad's favorite. Named after The Shining, which was inspired by the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park - this beer gives a good flavor without being too watered down.
Longs Peak Raspberry Wheat - This was a pretty decent beer, although I'm not a fan of fruit beers. The raspberry taste mixed nicely with the wheat and neither one controls the flavor.
Blueberry Wheat - This was a good beer, however - having Blueberry beer from the great state of Maine AND having Boulder's Kinda Blue, this beer doesn't match up.
Estes Park Brewery is located at 470 Prospector Ln. Estes Park, Colorado 80517
