It looked bleak: Hurricane Sandy hit and put all of Barrier's brewing operations out of commission and we were without any Barrier brew for quite some time. Well, the sun has risen again and Barrier is back in action with 6 new beers currently in their tanks ready to go. They'll be pouring them at Mission Dolores tonight. So get on over there and support one of New York's finest breweries.

Wednesday, January 30 - Spanish Craft Beer @ Jimmy's No. 43, Manhattan:
Spain has been making quite the craft beer stir here in NYC recently. It seems like every other craft beer bar is celebrating this relative newcomer to the scene and Jimmy's No. 43 isn't going to be left out. They will actually be featuring a short term rotating installation of taps straight from the Iberian peninsula. This week they'll be featuring:
-“Lug” Bitter/Pale Ale -1907 Pre-Prohibition Pale Ale - Juliette Extra Stout
All beers are imported by Iberian Beer United and all three breweries are from Barcelona (Grisberger, L'anjub and Sagra).
