Tuesday, October 2 - Tuesday Night Tastings: Cult Beers @ Bierkraft, Brooklyn:
Now what exactly makes a beer cultish?  We've gathered that it's gotta be something a little strange and off kilter that only a few crazies will really enjoy it.  Cult crazies.  We're those type of crazies (well, not Phil).  Throw in some strange wild yeast strains, smoke it up until it reeks of bacon flavor or age the hell out of it in a bourbon, or hell, cabernet barrel and you get a cult brew.  Head over to Bierkraft tonight to get a full on frontal assault against your taste buds as they lead you through the myriad of cult beer styles.  This one definitely won't be boring.
Bierkraft is located at 191 5th Avenue between Berkeley and Union Streets in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Wednesday, October 3 - Founders Brewery Night @ George Keeley's, Manhattan:
Remember when Founders stormed onto the craft beer scene a few years ago and decimated all the competition with their perfectly balanced punch you in the face brews?  Yea, we do to.  It was good.  It still is.  They'll be bringing your favorites regulars, rarities and a few surprises to George Keeley's on the UWS this Wednesday.  We suggest you be there.
Canadian Breakfast stout anyone?
George Keeley's is located at 485 Amsterdam Avenue between 83rd and 84th Streets in the Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan.
Thursday, October 4 - Octoberfest 2012 @ Standings, Manhattan:
There is absolutely nothing that compares to watching football in the fall while sipping on a warming Octoberfest brew.  And now that football is practically being played every day of the week, you have many opportunities to drink those fall favorites.  This Thursday head on over to the city's most revered craft beer sports bar, Standings, to catch both on the same night.  They'll be serving up three mysterious Octoberfest brews alongside the Southern Tier Pumpking.  And of course, in good Standings fashion, they'll be cooking up free Brats from Wechslers at 7:30.
Hello football Thursday.
Standings is located at 43 East 7th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan.
Thursday, October 4 - Sixpoint Tap Takeover @ Bierkraft, Brooklyn:
Two Brooklyn craft beer powerhouses are teaming up to bring you a Thursday night you won't soon forget.  Sixpoint and Bierkraft are combining their Brooklyn craft beer knowledge this Thursday as Sixpoint takes over the taps with all your old favorites, new seasonals and always intriguing rarities.  The list is still a mystery, but we all know it'll be a good set of pours.  So bring your growlers and get ready to put down a few pints, Sixpoint is back at Bierkraft!
Bierkraft is located at 191 5th Avenue between Berkeley and Union Streets in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn.
