New York City Craft Beer Events for the Week of May 27, 2012

Graham

Tuesday, May 29 - $10 Tuesday Tastings: Sixpoint Brewery @ Jimmy's No. 43, Manhattan: We are lucky.  We live in NYC and we can drink brews from Sixpoint all the time.  But wouldn't it be nice if they were featured every once in awhile? At a bar in their full glory?  We think so too.  And now you're in luck, tonight it's happening - not only will you get to enjoy multiple Sixpoint brews, an expert will be walking you through each tantalizing taste.

On top of that, did you hear that Jimmy's$10 Tastings were recently written up in Time Out New York? Pretty gnarley.

Jimmy's No. 43 is located at Downstairs 43 East 7th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue, East Village, Manhattan.

Tuesday, May 29 - Ballast Point Brewing Event @ Rattle n' Hum, Manhattan:

Who doesn't love San Diego beer?  Honestly, those who haven't tried it.  Ballast Point is visiting Rattle n' Hum this Tuesday and as usual they are providing them with all the amenities: i.e. - ten tap lines. Check out this list and check out RnH tonight.  You won't be sorry:

Pescadero Pilsner

Brother Levonian Saisoon

Big Eye IPA

Sextant Oatmeal Stout

Abandon Ship Smoked Lager

Piper Down Scottish Ale

Pale Ale

Sea Monster Imperial Stout

Sculpin IPA

Black Marlin Porter

Rattle n' Hum is located at 14 East 33rd Street between Madison and 5th Avenues, Midtown, Manhattan.

Wednesday, May 30 - Kelso Beer Night @ The Stag's Head, Manhattan:

Another great NYC brewery, leading the way for the New York beer revolution.  And now you get to drink the best of their best. Kelso will be pouring a handful of their brews over at the Stag's Head this Wednesday.  You should be there to drink a few.  The list isn't out yet, but they promise seasonals, year rounds and small batches.  Sounds perfect.

The Stag's Head is located at 252 East 51st Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, Upper East Side, Manhattan.

Thursday, May 31 - KBS Release Party @ House of Brews, Manhattan:

Alright fine, we like KBS.  Doesn't everybody?  Well, there's yet another release party for the famous beer here in NYC.  Seems like the stuff is all over recently, and we couldn't be happier.  You can pick it up this Thursday alongside Curmudgeon Old Ale, Double Trouble Double IPA and Centennial IPA.  Not a bad evening if you ask me.

House of Brews is located at 302 West 51st Street between 8th and 9th Avenues, Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan.

Thursday, May 31 - Sixpoint Craft Ales Night @ Bronx Alehouse, The Bronx:

And you thought we only had one Sixpoint event for you this week.  Wrong! You get one more and you're going to love it. All the tall boy cans will be available alongside some rare Sixpoint pours.  There is a draft list, but it's not everything.  That sounds intriguing:

8 Days O’ Wheat (hoppy wheat ale) The Crisp Lager Enterprise Porter Mad Scientist #8 Berliner Weisse Otis (nitro-pour oatmeal stout) Resin

The Bronx Alehouse is located at 216 West 238th Street between Broadway and Putnam Avenue, The Bronx.
