Wednesday, April 4 - April Fool's Week @ The Stag's Head, Manhattan:

What's the biggest April Fool's prank an American craft beer bar could pull on you? Serving imported beer obviously. That's exactly the trick that the Stag's Head will be playing on you this month and it all starts Wednesday. So head on over to check out what the rest of the craft brew world is up to. We think we have it pretty well cornered here in America, but the brewers at Hitachino, Mikkeler and many other international breweries would like to prove you wrong.

Of course, the awesome Stag's Head food for the evening will be hot smoked salmon canapes.

Of course.

The Stag's Head is located at 252 East 51st Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, Upper East Side, Manhattan.

Wednesday, April 4 - New York City Beer Showcase @ The South Street Seaport Museum, Manhattan:

Do you love New York? We all do. One thing that is often forgotten is that NYC (specifically Brooklyn) used to be the brewing capital of the country. When prohibition hit, the law killed dozens of breweries. Only now, the NYC brewing industry is re-surging at an incredible rate. This event at the South Street Seaport Museum exhibit "Made in New York" will hightlight some of the cities best brews with a tasting and judging. Tickets are $10 if you buy them through beermenus.com. Here's how you can work it:

Register at boxoffice.mcny.org and enter code “Craft44” upon checkout for discount For more information or to reserve by phone, please call 917-492-3395.

Thank you Beermenus for hooking this one up.

The South Street Seaport Museum is located at 12 Fulton Street at the corner of Front Street, Financial District, Manhattan.

Thursday, April 5 - Baseball Opening Day Bash @ Standings, Manhattan:

What are you doing Thursday? Well, if you're any kind of good American then you will be taking the day off to watch opening day baseball. Where should you go though? Always such a dilemma - but not anymore. NYC's best beer sports dive bar is opening their doors early for you. Head to Standings at 1 PM for Mets/Braves and the Red Sox/Tigers. More games will be played throughout the day so we suggest getting there at 1 and not moving for many hours. BASEBALL!

Standings is located at 43 East 7th Street Upstairs between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, East Village, Manhattan.

Saturday, April 7 - Beers and Balls @404, Manhattan:

In all my years of beer blogging I've come to the realization that if GetReal is throwing an event - you need to be there. They have some of the best food and beer events in this city. And by some of the best, I mean the gold standard that anyone else planning such an event should strive for. The most recent addition? Beers and Ball. A craft beer and meatball festival featuring over 40 craft breweries and chefs cooking up dozens of little ball shaped culinary masterpieces. Picture it now - you get to walk around for three hours (four if you get the VIP ticket) sampling the best craft brews in the area and popping meatball after meatball down your throat. If that doesn't describe fat and happy then it doesn't deserve to be a phrase.

Get your Beers and Balls tickets here.

The Beers and Balls event will be held at "404" located at 404 10th Avenue at 33rd Street, Midtown, Manhattan.
