With the Championship game looming (let's go Wildcats!), Round 2 voting for the BFF4 tournament continues. The Red Bracket had some huge upsets in Round 1. Is it possible that some of the beers that were highly ranked are too rare and losing to some of the more accessible brew?
In the biggest upset of the Tournament so far the #16 seeded Cigar City's Bourbon Barrel Aged Hunhapu Imperial Stout defeated the juggernaut #1 seed Three Floyds Vanilla Bean Aged Dark Lord. It's been no secret that bourbon aged brews have been very popular the past couple years, this win by Cigar City is proof of that. Now Cigar City faces another great challenge in the #8 seeded Hill Farmstead Ephraim. Hill Farmstead has been very popular in this tournament, but this match up could be its toughest yet.
Alesmith's Speedway Stout is our second upset winner from Round 1 in this bracket. It goes up against the now favorite Bell's Hopslam who certainly must have been preparing for an underdog matchup against Russian River Supplication. Will Bell's be able to overcome this new underdog challenger.
Finally a matchup we expected in this bracket. The 6 seeded Lawson's Finest Double Sunshine IPA enters Round 2 as the slight underdog statistically. However that may no be the perception as the opponent is a favorite to win the entire tournament in Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. Can the IPA our last the beloved Bourbon barrel?
Firestone Walker makes an appearance in this bracket with Abacus as a 10 seed but It has to go up against a strong Goose Island brew in Round 2. The 2 seed King Henry comes into Round 2 the obvious favorite, but the always popular Firestone Walker is sure not going to give up with out a fight.
