Tuesday, January 24 - Tuesday Night Tasting with Flying Dog Brewery @ Bierkraft, Brooklyn: The Belgian inspired, Gonzo styled brewery Flying Dog will be featured this Tuesday in the newest installment of Bierkraft's Tuesday Night Tasting series.  Brand manager Molly McDevitt will walk you through a tentative lineup that is pretty impressive.  Check it out:

The Tuesday Night Tastings are always free and get packed pretty quick, so show up early and thirsty.

Bierkraft is located at 191 5th Avenue between Union and Berkeley Streets, Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Tuesday, January 24 - The Empire Strikes Back @ The Double Windsor, Brooklyn:

If you were wondering how one should properly celebrate the New York City release of Founder's Brewery 2012 Imperial Stout, then we have an answer for you.  Serve it for $5 alongside 6 other imperial styled beers in a Darth Vader Imperial Forces theme.  Let's hope the force is strong with you - you'll need in order to survive trying all 7 brews.

The list:

Founders Imperial Stout 2012 Founders Double Trouble Imperial IPA Stone 15th Anniversary Escondidian Imperial Black IPA Harpoon Triticus Imperial Wheat Nøgne Ø Imperial Brown Ale Speakeasy Scarface Imperial Stout

The Double Windsor is located at 210 Prospect Park West between 15th and 16th Streets, Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn.

Wednesday, January 25 - Empire Brewery Night @ Idle Hands, Manhattan:

"Bourbon.  Beer.  Rock."  I'm sold.  Add in the fact that the beer is from Empire Brewery and I'd buy it twice.  $10 gets you two pints of Empire, a tasting flight, a shot of bourbon and tater tots with dipping sauce.  The Beer Friends will see you there.

Idle Hands is located at 25 Avenue B between 2nd and 3rd Streets, Alphabet City, Manhattan.

Wednesday, January 25 - Barrier Brewing Company Night @ Sunswick 35-35, Queens:

Our favorite Queens craft beer bar is throwing a party this Wednesday and they've invited Barrier Brewing Company from Long Island to help them throw it.  Barrier's been busy and they have a whole new lineup of brews.  Mix them with their already spectacular standard brews and you've got a good night in store for you.  Check out the list:

Antagonist ESB Belgian #1 Belgian Pale Ale Bulkhead Red Medula English IPA Rembrandt Porter

Sunswick 35-35 is located at 3502 35th Street at 35th Avenue, Astoria, Queens.

Wednesday, January 25 - Formerly Commie Beer Night @ David Copperfield's, Manhattan:

Prohibition and Communism.  Both bad ideas.  Prohibition killed craft beer in the United States and it's taken a long time to recover.  Communism did the same for many Eastern European countries.  And now they've recovered.  David Copperfield's will be showcasing the best craft beer coming out of the Eastern Bloc.  There will be an Eastern European beer expert on hand and they'll be serving traditional foods.  It's time to explore a new world of brewing.

David Copperfield's is located at 1394 York Avenue at 74th Street, Upper East Side, Manhattan.
