New York City Craft Beer Events for the Week of December 25, 2011

Graham

Happy Holidays from all of us here at the Beer Friends.  We hope you had a great weekend, celebrating with family, eating great food and drinking great craft beer.  We're sorry if now that the holiday weekend is over you have to go back to work, however if you have a nice, week-long vacation then you're in for some excellent craft beer event hunting.  Here are a few favorites... Tuesday, December 27 - Tuesday Night Tastings: Leftovers Edition @ Bierkraft, Brooklyn:

One of the best and worst parts of the holidays - leftovers.  Great for the first day, terrible after having eaten them for lunch and dinner 3 days in a row.  Bierkraft has solved this problem - invite everyone over for a big leftovers party where you give away all the best stuff you consumed on your holiday.  Their cellar manager Matt Barclay has raided Bierkraft's stockpile of great brew they didn't sell during the holidays and is serving it up Tuesday.  I wouldn't miss a chance for a peek in Bierkraft's cellar if I were you...

Bierkraft is located at 191 5th Avenue between Berkeley and Union Streets, Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Wednesday, December 28 - A Very Shmaltzy Hanukkah @ The Double Windsor, Brooklyn:

Let's not forget the chosen people.  Honestly, if you live in NYC then you love Hanukkah as much as Christmas.  The Jewish people may not be a represented equally in brewing as they are in NYC but one brewery is throwing an end of Hanukkah party at the Double Windsor to change that trend.  Shmaltz will be bringing 8 delicious brews to celebrate the 8th of 8 nights of Hanukkah.  Check out this list and try em' all on Wednesday:

Vertical Jewbelation Hop Manna IPA Reunion Ale (collaboration with Terrapin Brewing) Bittersweet Lenny’s RIPA Jewelbelation 15 Genesis Dry-Hopped Session Ale

The Double Windsor is located at 210 Prospect Park West on the Northwest corner of 16th Street, Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn.

Thursday, December 29 - Rare Keg Night @ Bierkraft, Brooklyn:

This event should not be missed.  Seriously, Bierkraft is blowing it out two nights this week.  It's just that this night makes Tuesday look like fizzy-yellow-water-beer-night.  They have been stockpiling some kegs that are the rarest of the rare and the tastiest of the tastiestness.  Just check the list:
