Featured Brewery: San Luis Valley Brewing Company

Hello Beer Friends Nation!
Traveling through Southwest Colorado you'll be amazed with the beautiful surroundings. On our trip to the good old mile high state we heard about these crazy sand dunes and on the way to see them we took a little time to stop off in Alamosa to try the San Luis Valley Brewing Company.
Built inside of an old bank building, the San Luis Valley Brewing Company takes full advantage of the space and even uses the bank vault as the cooler for their delicious beers. As you can see in the gallery below they have the old bank vault door proudly hung on the wall behind the bar. Luckily one of the brewers was there and gave us a quick tour.
The beers were very good, oddly my favorite was between the IPA (of course) and the Jalapeno beer they had on tap. it wasn't listed on their menu, but compared to the other pepper beer i had tried the day earlier, this one was actually delicious.
All in all this is a great little brewery, the kind that makes you sad you might never ever see it outside of the town you found it in, but very excited since it feels like you found a secret that only a select few know about, and you're part of the club. definitely one on the list of places to swing by again if I'm ever even remotely in the area.
