New York City Craft Beer Events for the Week of October 2, 2011

Tuesday, October 4 - Lagunitas in the House @ Rattle n' Hum, Manhattan: The masterminds behind Lagunitas will be hitting up Rattle n' Hum tonight and they're bringing an impressive collection of brews for you to imbibe.  Check it out:

Fusion VII (A hoppy Kronik making its first appearance in NYC) Gnarlywine ‘10 Hop Stoopid Maximus Little Sumpin Wild New Dogtown Pale Ale Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ PILS Undercover Shutdown Ale Lucky 13.Alt and, my personal favorite: IP Fuckin’ A.

Rattle n' Hum is located at 14 East 33rd Street between 5th and Madison Avenues, Midtown, Manhattan.

Tuesday, October 4 - Sierra Nevada Night @ The Pony Bar, Manhattan:

Sierra Nevada is back at the Pony for an epic night of brew fueled celebration.  It seems their 30th Birthday Celebration is never ending - and we're okay with that.  In order to fill all 20 draft lines they'll be bringing their 30th Anniversary collections, some Beer Camp favorites and all your other Sierra Nevada classics.

The Pony Bar is located at 637 10th Avenue at 45th Street, Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan.

Wednesday, October 5 - Founders CBS @ Wyne A Bit, Brooklyn:

This event, like the beer it features, was too rare and unique to pass over.  Founders CBS - Canadian Breakfast Stout - takes an already incredible brew - the Breakfast Stout - ages in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels to get the Kentucky Breakfast Stout and then ages it in maple syrup barrels that had been previously used to age bourbon.  Think creamy coffee stout with bourbon and maple syrup.  They only have one keg of it, so get there early.  And if they run out, have a couple pints of the Centennial IPA and Porter, also on tap Wednesday.

Wyne A Bit is located at 200 Franklin Street between India and Huron Streets, Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Friday, October 7 - Beer School @ Jimmy's No. 43, Manhattan:

We know you're smart about beer.  You're reading this on the Beer Friends website after all.  But if you want to learn even more then head on over to Jimmy's No. 43 this Friday for Beer School.  A $10 entrance fee gets you 6 selected samples off Jimmy's draft lines and an informative session on beer history, styles and brewing led by a Jimmy's No. 43 beer expert.

Jimmy's No. 43 is located at 43 East 7th Street, Downstairs, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, East Village, Manhattan.
