Tuesday, June 20 - Goose Night! @ Rattle n' Hum, Manhattan: Goose Island has been quite the hot topic recently in craft beer world news - getting bought out by Anheuser-Busch, their old brewmaster leaving for maybe not greener, but different pastures and bringing in a new brewmaster from the west-coast. People, rightfully so, wondered if their quality brew would continue to taste the same. Well, Tuesday is the time to find out. About two months after all these changes rapidly took place they bringing their most popular and rarest pours to Rattle n' Hum. We're talking about much more than just the IPA, Honker's Ale and 312 Wheat. We're talking Sofie, Matilda, Pere Jacques, Bourbon County Stout, Bourbon County Vanilla Aged Stout, Scully, Minx, Samovar, Big John, Raspberry Saison, Fleur, Dominique, Indira, Demolition, Lolita and American Brown. Some said that getting bought out by Anheuser-Busch would limit their craft production. Look that way to you?

Wednesday, June 22 - Victory Brewing Company @ The Blind Tiger Ale House, Manhattan:
Join the Father of Philadelphia Brewing Bill Covaleski as he brings his best Victory brews to the Blind Tiger Ale House this Wednesday. As of this point the list was still being determined, but honestly do you really need a list? Their mass-market brew is amazing. Their rarities and small batch brews are incredible. And Bill Covaleski and his brewing/marketing team are genius and a damn good time when they head out to represent their craft.

Thursday, June 23 - Greenport Harbor Tap Takeover @ Bierkraft, Brooklyn:
In the New York Metro Area brewing scene, one unexpected area is making big news: Long Island. Blue Point's been there forever, Southampton followed soon after and Barrier is the newest on the scene. Greenport Harbor however has been providing us with quality, creatively hopped brews pouring straight from the North Fork of Long Island.
They'll be pouring Hopnami, Spring Saison, Canard Noire, Ahtamatic IPA and the Summer Ale. Come on out, meet the brewers and enjoy their beer.
Bierkraft is located at 191 5th Avenue between Union and Berkeley Streets, Park Slope, Brooklyn.
Thursday, June 23 - Cider Appreciation Day @ Jimmy's No. 43, Manhattan:
The Beer Friends are called the Beer Friends for a reason: We love beer. This often times causes us to miss out on some other beer-related beverages - including cider. Cider can be a tart, sweet, refreshing beverage perfect for any summer day. Brewed in similar ways to craft beer it is only fitting that we represent. Unfortunately the Beer Friends have never reviewed a cider (foreshadowing?). If you haven't either, then you should head over to Jimmy's No. 43 this Thursday for Cider Appreciation Day.
Let's all give cider the chance we haven't given it yet. I don't think we'll be let down.
Jimmy's No. 43 is located at 43 East 7th Street Downstairs between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, East Village, Manhattan.
