The Beer Friends would love to shed some light on a healthier way to enjoy some of the best of New York City's craft beers: City Running Tours Beers Runs. This organization invites runners to join them on a 5 mile running tour of the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn that starts and ends at the Brooklyn Brewery. The runs are a fun way to explore one of New York City's most vibrant neighborhood's and a way to make you feel like you've earned all those craft brews you'll drink afterwords at the Brooklyn Brewery. The run stops at some of the more famous location that the Williamsburg neighborhood has to offer and is kept at a pretty easy 9/10 min/mile pace. You don't want to overwork yourself before the beer, ya know.
The next Beer Run will be on September 11 and is held on the second Saturday of every month. Interested runners should check out the link below for registration details. It costs $20 per person and includes a bottle of water, small bag check at the brewery and a beer token, as well as the 1 hour running tour around Williamsburg.
All in all, the City Running Tours Beer Runs are a great way to experience a new part of the city while enjoying its most famous brewery. As a runner, a craft beer enthusiast and a lover of New York City I couldn't think of a better way to enjoy all three. Check em' out Beer Friends Nation!
