If you missed it last night, a few of The Beer Friends took some time to go out to a Sly Fox Brewery event. Here is how some of the night transpired as told to the internet. Blogger's note: If you will notice how the sentence structure subtly deteriorates throughout the night. I'm not sure why exactly, but that always seems to happen that way.
6:21pm - Finally got this thing working right, and it only took us 21 minutes!
First pint of the night: Phoenix Pale Ale. A light start to what is sure to be a good night.
6:27pm - Second pint of the night: Sly Fox Rt. 113 IPA - With an 113 IBU rating this brew is a hop lovers heaven! Keep em' pouring Sly Fox!
6:32pm - Third pint of the night: Don't worry mothers... All different Beer Friends drinking... Sly Fox Amarillo IPA - this beer is part of the "IPA Project" which Sly Fox experiments with different kinds of hops... This Beer Friend thinks it's a great start but needs another kick of favor - slightly watered down.
6:54 pm- Gang Aft Agley Scotch Ale is spectacular. First sip was a little strong, but mellowed out a few pulls in. Great flavor throughout. Starts sweet with a (I want to say) smokey taste that rolls through. Would suggest a pint of this to any beer lover. Has something for everyone.
8:09 pm- Rauch Beir = BACON! Seriously, it's bacon...
8:35 pm- The Odyssey is pretty damn Imperial.
Incubus is incredibly sweet. Not usually the style this beer friend likes, but this Abbott style has won me over. Sometime after that via twitter:
"@slyfoxbeer incubus and odyssey are something else. In a good way, but something else indeed. Keep it flowing Sly Fox!"
"Last Beer Friend post for the night: @slyfoxbeer Quadruple is pretty strong and tasty. Thanks for checkin' in guys, TheBeerFriends out... "
